The following instructions are for the Pergola painted as part of the Garden Delight Mural. The listed dimensions may be changed to accommodate your own wall space. We recommend that you trace the design on a large piece of paper so that you become comfortable with the assembly process. You should also try painting a small portion on paper to get the feel for how much paint to put on your roller so that it does not seep under the edges of the stencil.

Once you decide where you are going to put the design, you need to make some measurements and then you can start painting.

Step 1. Measure 7 ½ inches down from the ceiling or molding. Mark this measurement a few times on the wall so you can draw a straight horizontal line.
Step 2. Measure 32" from left to right, put a mark at 0" and again at 32". Do this a couple of times down the wall.

Step 3. Connect the dots you marked on the wall in a straight vertical line. (From ceiling to floor) Do this on both the left side and the right side.

Step 4. Using Sheet 1 stencil piece #10 hold it so you can read the SE D413. Line the right side of the #10 rectangle so it lines up with the outside of the left line, and the top of the piece is aligned with the horizontal line you drew from the ceiling. Tape to wall and lightly mark the top two triangle registration marks (TRMS). Take off wall and do the same thing on the right hand side. Remember to go to the out side of the line you drew.
From here on out we will be using the stencils in order from #1 - #11.
Step 5. Next Take stencil sheet 1 which has #1 start on the left hand side line the two BOTTOM TRMS up with the two you have already marked on the wall. Tape this piece to the wall. Then lightly mark all the other TRMS for piece #1. (These will be needed for other parts)
